Torba Province Education Project
The Project commenced in July 2006 with a total of $75, 000 AU invested.
Project Objectives were to:
- Build and equip a new school to facilitate primary education for 60 primary aged children in the Torba Province, Banks Islands, Vanuatu.
- Facilitate the training/provision of local teachers and supervisors for ongoing support and sustainability of the program.
- Explore further need and sustainability for the establishment of other primary schools in the Banks Islands
Project Achievements were:
- Completion of the new school building to lock up stage.
- Agreement attained with Vanuatu Department of Education to provide and pay trained teachers and to provide stationary supplies and teaching material.
- Handover to AOG Vanuatu who, through AusAid funding put in place a water supply for the school.
Indian Ocean coastal Indonesia,
Bangladesh, Malaysia, India and Sri Lanka.
Directly prior to becoming a registered charity, Life Aid International assisted in the recovery of 5 villages in Sri Lanka after to disastrous damage caused by the tsunami that ravaged the Indian Ocean coastal Indonesia, Bangladesh, Malaysia, India and Sri Lanka.
Assistance was in the form of clearing and rebuilding as well as the provision of emergency supplies and assistance to fishermen to rebuild their businesses.

We were also engaged with the sponsoring of orphans in India, development of a widows home, purchased livestock to develop milk businesses and provided food relief.
School completed in Vanuatu on Malo Island
These projects were closely followed in 2006 Life Aid International has been working with the Torba Province in Vanuatu in building a school and associated projects to support the ongoing sustainability of the school.
