Proposed Projects
- Purchase of a 5 metre boat for the purpose of:
- Assisting in the emergency evacuation of sick or injured people from islands surrounding the island of Vanualava where the provincial hospital is cited.
- Use as a taxi service based from Sola, Vanualava to surrounding islands. The use will be to carry passengers and produce to the markets based in Sola.
- Provide an income to those who drive and maintain the boat.
- Provide a source of local funds for the Torba Province Education Project.
- Estimated Cost is $25,000 Au
- Sri Lanka $10,000 - half way house for abused women
- Approx $60,000 for drug rehabilitation for teenagers "Hope Youth" project
We are also investigating the establishment of a secondary boarding school and tertiary/skills development college to be based on Vanualava.
