Our Values

Tsunami Rebuilding work after the Tsunami
Our Story

Our organisation values meaningful, healthy relationships as the foundation of everything that we practice. We strive to connect with local people with all aspects of their local community, culture, businesses and government.

We believe that by directly connecting with local people, assessing their needs, researching development opportunities, canvassing financial support for these communities, managing project direction and training people in relevant skills then stronger an sustainable communities are developed who take control of their own futures.

In summary we:

  • Value people, regardless of age, gender or religious affiliation.
We do not discriminate against any person but treat all equally.
  • Are committed to the poor
Basic human needs are defined as primary health care, basic education, family planning, nutrition, water and sanitation, and shelter.

  • Are a voice for the poor, the disadvantaged and the oppressed.
We recognise that we live in an unjust world where the gap between rich and poor, advantaged and disadvantaged, liberated and oppressed continues to widen. Our role is to speak for those who have no voice.
  • Are Partners and Stewards.
We achieve our goals through effective partnerships both within Australia and overseas. We are stewards of the responsibility we have to a world in need and of our donor funds.
  • Are passionate, responsive and committed.
Our passion is to pass on the love of Christ through our words and actions. This moves us to respond with commitment wherever possible to the need of people throughout the word.

Our Vision

Our vision is to partner with national people groups to bring about positive and sustainable change in their communities.

Our Purpose

Our purpose is to assist these people groups in their development through needs identification, sourcing of funds and project management.
